Description

Product Details

Warm, luminous, and unmistakably one of a kind, this original Todd Alan art ring centers around an extraordinary 26ct natural opal. Measuring approximately 29.5 × 21mm, the oversized oval stone glows with warm golden tones and beautiful flashes of fire that shift as the ring moves.

Todd built the ring entirely by hand in 14k yellow gold, surrounding the opal with his signature fine swirl work. A hand-formed rope strand incorporated into the setting adds another layer of texture and detail, while the rich yellow gold beautifully complements the warmth within the stone.

Large and beautifully artistic, this is a true statement ring—and a piece that could only be a Todd Alan original.

Handmade. One piece at a time.

Todd Alan has spent more than four decades creating jewelry by hand. Our woven pieces begin as individual strands of precious metal and are shaped, woven, soldered and finished by hand in our Sarasota, Florida studio.

There is no assembly line behind these pieces. Each one is made individually by our studio, using the techniques and distinctive woven designs Todd has developed over a lifetime at the bench.

Small variations are part of the character of handmade work — and part of what makes each piece uniquely yours.

Made in Sarasota. Made by hand. Made to be worn for a lifetime.

Most Todd Alan pieces are made individually after your order is placed. Our standard turnaround is approximately 4–6 weeks.

Shipping

Once your piece is finished, U.S. orders ship 2-day delivery at no additional charge. Jewelry is securely packaged, tracking information is emailed when it leaves our studio, and a signature is required upon delivery.

International orders are welcome. International shipping charges and any customs duties or import taxes vary by destination.

We want your ring to fit perfectly.

Please double-check your ring size before ordering whenever possible. We accept whole, half and quarter sizes, as well as international ring sizes. If you’re unsure what size to order, give us a call or send us an email — we’re always happy to help.

Complimentary Initial Resizing

For gold and platinum rings, your first resizing is complimentary when requested within 30 days of receiving your ring. We want you to have the chance to try it on, live with it for a little bit, and make sure the fit is just right.

Future Resizing

If your ring size changes later, we can resize it again. Our standard resizing fee is $75, which includes return shipping and insurance.

If your ring needs to be sized up, an additional charge may apply depending on how much additional precious metal is required. We’ll always let you know before any additional work is done.

Sterling Silver Rings

Silver is the exception to our complimentary initial resizing policy. There is a charge to resize sterling silver rings, so we especially encourage you to double-check your size before ordering.

If the fit isn’t right, just call or email the studio. We’ll help you figure out the best next step.

We want you to love your piece — and we want it to fit perfectly.

Todd is old-school. We don’t sell extended warranties, and we don’t disappear after your jewelry leaves the studio. We’ve always tried to take care of our customers the way we would want to be taken care of.

For 30 days after you receive your piece, if something isn’t quite right, let us know. You can return it, exchange it, or have it resized when applicable. We want you to be happy with what you ordered and comfortable buying something this special from us online.

For gold and platinum pieces, the first resize within those 30 days is complimentary. Sterling silver can also be resized, but there is a resizing fee.

Repairs

Todd has been making jewelry since 1986 and has never charged for an ordinary repair on one of his gold pieces.

If a strand breaks or something in the handmade structure needs attention through normal wear, send it back to us. We’ll take care of it. The same goes for our platinum work.

Silver is the exception — there may be a charge to repair sterling silver.

If a piece has been cut off, crushed, badly damaged or altered somewhere else, there may be a repair charge. Just send us a photo or give us a call first. We’ll always tell you what it needs before we do anything.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Stones and their settings do need a little care over time. Prongs can wear down and may eventually need to be tightened or re-tipped, especially on jewelry that is worn every day.

If a diamond or gemstone is lost, chipped or broken, the stone itself is not covered. But call us — we can usually help repair the setting and find a replacement stone if needed.

Years From Now

If something happens to your Todd Alan piece years from now, call us.

We have customers who have been wearing their rings for decades, and we want to keep your jewelry with you for as long as possible.

Custom work and pieces involving diamond or diamond-setting work are subject to a 20% restocking fee if returned for a refund.
